Paralysis and Sahasrara Chakra

Paralysis

disease Paralysis is a loss of muscle function for one or more muscles. Paralysis can be accompanied by a loss of feeling (sensory loss) in the affected area if there is sensory damage as well as motor damage. A paralysis accompanied by involuntary tremors is usually called ‘palsy’. Paralysis is most often caused by damage in the nervous system, especially the spinal cord. Pseudo paralysis is a term that refers to voluntary restriction of movements. It is not due to muscular paralysis and malfunction of the nerves responsible for movement but, rather, a choice to refrain from moving due to pain or incoordination.

Paralysis can occur in either localised form, where a specific part of the body such as the face or hand is affected or in generalized form, where a large section or the entire lower body is affected.

There are also more specific terms to describe particular areas of the body that are affected.

• Monoplegia is the paralysis of one limb
• Hemiplegia is the paralysis of the arm and leg on one side of the body
• Paraplegia is the paralysis of both legs and some other areas of the lower body, such as the pelvis
• Tetraplegia or quadriplegia is the paralysis of both arms and legs

Chakra therapy is based on the belief that your brain is the main operating system in the human body, which processes sensory information, regulates blood pressure, breathing and releases hormones. The spinal cord connects a huge part of the peripheral nervous system to the brain while the optic nerve transfers the visual information from the retina to the vision centers of the brain via electrical impulses. However due to our over analytical, non-liberal, rigid mind sets and definitions we refuse to accept and value the reality, for what it actually is. We constantly live in a state of delusion, completely alienated from people, society and the world. Such a condition manifests into this physical ailment.

Imbalanced Chakra related to Paralysis

The Chakra associated with Paralysis is the Sahasrara or the Crown chakra. This Chakra is located where the pineal endocrine gland is positioned i.e. at the top of the head. The primary function of pineal gland is to produce melatonin. Melatonin controls central nervous system, including sleepiness and wakefulness. When the Sahasrara Chakra is optimally active or energized, you feel connected to a higher power and sense that you are being watched over and cared for. You begin to know you deserve immense blessings and also feel immense gratitude for the universal love and appreciate yourself and others. This Chakra contains the power of being content and full of gratitude.
