Emotional instability is the prolonged emotional reaction to a particular emotional experience even after it is over. It involves reinitiating the certain response frequently. It is said to be the heightened sensitivity for a longer duration to disappointment, failure, separation or rejection. Emotional instability is not an actual disease as those who go through it are capable of loving and experiencing joy. It is their reactions at certain uncomfortable situations that are highly passionate. An emotionally unstable person experiences limitless shame even in cases of slight embarrassment, immense stress in cases of minor nervousness, anger in place of slight irritation and extreme grief instead of momentary sadness.
Imbalanced Chakra related to Emotional Instability
The Swadhisthana Chakra controls the muscular system of our body and the kidneys. Any imbalance in this Chakra may cause emotional instability or Borderline Personality Disorder known as BPD. To know about the treatment of depression and emotional disorders, we first need to know the reason behind this instability. This happens when an individual indulges in self-doubt and feels devoid of love and care and thinks he or she is wrong somewhere and hence responsible for not being loved. Swathisthana Chakra is actually rooted in childhood mental conditioning. Lack of loving atmosphere and harmony at home ultimately results in disharmony in adult relationships years later. This affects personal relationships as well as professional resulting in negative emotional experiences. Fear that something will happen to me and the fear of not being good enough eventually blocks the Swadhisthana Chakra and once the chakra is blocked it results in emotional instability leading to depression.
Women show symptoms of emotional instability because of the fear of the unknown. Once this Chakra is balanced, the individual is free from self-doubt and eventually all the behavioural symptoms of depression disappear automatically.
